The Art Gallery of my Brain

I’m just a girl

Let’s start with this amazingly hot picture of my boyfriend.

It feels amazing to just go to a store and get absolutely everything you want. This post is about doing just that. I’m going to talk about my experience and what I bought today. I’m also going to briefly talk about the events of my day off.

I started my day by waking up early! Then I went straight into embroidering my new project for the year: a mountain side, a mud road, two lagoons, stars, a tower, flowers, and leaves. After embroidering for two years I am ready to learn different styles of stitching! I’ve mastered the silk stitch, and that’s what I’m employing for most of my art work.

I really enjoy the different patterns that I’m challenged to do, because I’m also working with many colors. Afterword, I read a little. I’ve taken up another Bridgerton book: Hyacinth’s story. It makes sense to read this series out of order because that’s how I started it.

I dabbled a little in my kalimba, just to make sure I still remember the tune to Beauty and the Beast. I watched my favorite 90’s sitcom: Full House. Then I took a leisurely afternoon nap while listening to the audible version of ACOTR book 2.

And that’s when the fun started: my excursion to the mall! I really only went there to have an outing and to secure my free item from Bath and Body Works. I left the mall with a Mini so haul.

Say hi, Cherry Blossom!

I started my shopping spree at Bath and Body works. I did not expect to buy a full priced candle.

Here she is: my mood booster

The scent immediately lifts me out of my low mood. So it’s well worth it. I can only describe this scent to be more feminine than bergamot, not as loud as pure orange, with a mixture of something citrus without being overwhelmingly citrus. I close my eyes and inhale and it lifts me up. I love it already. In fact I walked around the entire store just inhaling the scent! That’s also something I’ve never done. 🙂

When you wish upon a star

Bath and Body works came out with a Disney Princess line. I grabbed the first one I tried, which is a travel sized jasmine scented Cinderella spray for free! This is also one of those “smell at first sight” moments. Mikrokosmos makes me love anything jasmine, gardenia, or sampaguita scented. This has a strong scent without being too overwhelming. I’m happy with the travel size too. It’s very refreshing! It comes off strong on my body but I expect that to diffuse throughout the day. One spray should do the magic!

Tried and true: Bath and Body works strawberry lip mask. This mask goes on smooth and when I wake up my chapped lips are gone!

Surprise! More lip care!

New: I bought this Japanese “melting lip balm” that literally melts in contact. It came in fancy packaging. I really like it because it does as promised. The scent is honey.

I now have a cauldron purse for hydration. I promised myself to drink a bottle more of water and this will make it fun! I just love how cauldron shaped it is, and I love how it can be turned into a purse! I can take this on my walk to the park or wherever!

Don’t mind my puppy’s Frito toes

I now have the latest generation of Japanese mascara. It’s a lash curler and mascara built into one. This brand has been a brand I’ve seen for years. They pride themselves in non mess formula. I hope it makes my lashes thick and curly!

I tried on two applications today. If you wiggle while you apply the mascara doesn’t clump. Looking downward my lashes do appear thicker. However my eyeliner mutes the effect. I tried using the side of a q-tip, which worked a little bit. My lashes respond better to a lash curler.

They did stay curled all day!

In Namjoon I trust.

Cherry Blossom is my new plushie friend. When I saw her I absolutely had to have her. It was a yes at first sight, love at first sight. It was only when I was home that I noticed her cherry blossom head. She’s pink, has soft fur and has the cutest smile with blushing cheeks. Holding her raises my vibration. I can’t wait to hold her while watching romantic and fun things. Or when reading a book! Or sleeping! I guess I’m also a baby. 🌸

Behold, my most interesting pen in my collection!

Speaking of fuzzy, I bought this huge sized furry pen. It’s so furry, super soft, white and huge. Its hard to hold when trying to write in a book. It’s good for autographs. Should I take it to see Hobi? ☺️

On to Mixsoon

I am surprised that Mini So carry’s skin care products, and Korean ones a thag. I bought the Mixoon Toner pads in Bean serum. I’ve had luck with their bean exfoliate before; and so have no qualms about trying it on my sensitive skin.

The container comes with 70 bean essence soaked pads that can be split into two.

I tried it on yesterday night and this morning. I split the pads into two and did a spa-like sweeping motion over my face. It makes my face feel a little tight, but there’s no redness or irritation. Just for good measure I combined it with liberal amounts of Avene thermal water in order to dilute it, and calm my skin down further. So far it feels cool to the touch. I’m happy that there are so many soaked pads. I’m going to use it daily (when I awaken or at night). I’m sure to have a more solid opinion in a few weeks. Since it’s soaked pads, I’m going to store it in a cool dry place. Will update soon!

And my cheapest purchase— BT21 wet wipes for $2.95. They are unscented and come in individual packets, which I like. I’m going to use them for hygiene purposes. I really like how they come individually packed. I tried one and it’s lightly scented! I’ll go through the whole pack to see if I really like it. For now it was pleasant and the material was large and sturdy.

Here is my haul!

Once again, it felt so nice to walk around and just grab whatever I really wanted. These are things I truly cherish and it makes me happy to have them. It’s skin care, hydration, fun, lip care, scents, and plushie love. I’m really happy.

Thank you Joonie.

I feel like I should thank Namjoon because he’s the one who wrote me that lovely letter about savoring moments. Right now I am seeking out novel moments to savor. It’s good for boosting my mood. It’s all I can do to really live!

I did lady like and wealthy things on my day off. I woke up when I felt like it. I embroidered. I read a book. I ate what I wanted to eat (pizza party with coke). I took a leisure nap (to an audible reading to me). I journaled on pen and paper.

I worked on authoring my Answers book. I blogged. I meditated with my quartz candle for protection and peace. I went on a shopping spree. I did all these things for my mental health day, and now I feel above the blue. My period is done, and I’ve taken space from work!

Tomorrow I have another blessed day off. I’m not going to think about it. I’m just going to sleep for the day. Sleep is first and foremost always key.

Thank you that I have something nice to write about.
