Hello! I’m going to talk about my experience of attending my very first Enhypen concert. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LISTEN TO MY AUDIO!
This post is intended to be purely audio, so please listen to the audio videos because the bullet points are just examples.

– I’m not a part of the fandom so I was able to critique the concert from a non-biased view
– The venue’s acoustics was trash, but the musical beats compensated for it.
– Which means: I really enjoyed their music. Their music is way better than I expected
– Here is the set list that I painstakingly compiled. I have so much respect for their music that I need to listen to them without the crappy venue acoustics in the way. That’s a testament to how much I like their songs!
ENHYPEN GOES HARD LET ME TELL YOU
AUDIO TWO
Enhypen concerts are NON STOP TOO. I noticed that there were very brief interludes, no real breaks, and every single song was a group effort.
For context: BTS had their comeback concert in the format of only doing group songs.
They’re veterans, and it’s a testament to Enhyphen that BTS stated how winded they were when doing PTD concert (exact same format as Fate +). BTS struggled to do what Enhypen’s been doing for every concert, everywhere. And that’s from Namjoon’s mouth, not mine.
THAT IS SO IMPRESSIVE. I just know Yoongi would be blown away. He did it himself too.
Once again in comparison: a BTS concert typically opens with group performances followed by solo songs and subunit songs. That means that the guys as a whole get to take breaks in between.
Not so for Enhypen. There wasn’t even time to leave for the bathroom because their interludes were so short. BTS’ interludes are longer by comparison.
Enhypen has less breaks, does all group songs, and goes hard all over. I also noticed that for every song THEY ALSO DANCED THE CHOREO. That’s hard on them mentally and physically! I’m saying that because BTS sings songs without dancing to choreography so it makes it easier for them to pace themselves. Enhypen is a beast. They dance to almost every song. 😳
As an ARMY, I have to appreciate that kind of tenacity. I know Hobi and Yoongi would be so impressed. And I can almost hear the “woaaaas” coming from the other guys. Bravo!
AUDIO 3: ENGENE DON’T YOU COME FOR ME BECAUSE I SAID THIS. It’s really my opinion, and if you told me that you don’t like the way BTS does xyz, I’d be fine with that. If you’re sensitive then don’t listen to this.
But if you want to rip off the critique bandaid it’s this…..

AUDIO TRIGGER WARNING
This is more of a sassy way of saying that I’m basically an ARMY who’s writing about Enhypen, so it’s unavoidable that I talk about BTS too. None of it is bad I promise!
What I’m trying to say is:
Enhypen puts the POP in kpop. They all have uniform voices, and the beats are reminiscent of just pop in general. As opposed to including heavy rap component, this concert was all pop.
I think that BTS tried to start out as a rap group and ended up more pop-py. Enhypen mirrored the need for subunits (like BTS), but in the end they made their own thing. The rap line simply turned vocal. And it’s pop at it’s purest form.

You might hate me for saying this and I might be giving Ador Min Hee-Jin vibes, but Namjoon didn’t raise me to not have a voice. This is my opinion on the barking. I feel strongly about it.
I do want to add a correction that at some point I did hear a fan chant, or maybe I didn’t because that’s how weak it was. The majority was barking 🧍🏻♀️
This one is a real trigger, and I do sound like a butt. But I’m publishing this because I admit my personal biases, I admit my prejudices, and this was my real experience. I also talked about TXT, because they’re also performing in Allstate Arena. And I have feelings about that.
The fans are super loud, super passionate, and I’ll always remember allllllll the screaming. I don’t notice it when I’m doing it, but being a foreigner to Enhypen I realized how loud fans can be!
This was my actual experience throughout the day
I should say that being in line to enter the venue and also buy merch was a free for all. The crowd dynamics made it so that you didn’t know where the line started, and so people cut other people by default. I’m not completely innocent, I did take an opportunity to move forward when I could. But I’m just saying.
INTRODUCING: MY JAKE PICKET
I fought for this Jake. And Jake and me made it right on time, or at closest I can get to the beginning of the concert. He’s all crumpled up because I didn’t let go of him the entire time.
OVERALL RECAP
I mean it when I say it that Sunghoon from the beginning was a 15/10.

I have to emphasize the sheer power of blonde-aegyo era Sunoo. My ear drums almost burst because of all the shrieking that was happening. He couldn’t even speak that’s how loud it was! It was just a lot of aegyo all around.
There was that…. And this thought too.
Revelations: the birth of my biases, realization of dance skills, retraction of dance critique and apology that I butchered Jays name! I’m new okay 😭 overall, RESPECT! ADMIRATION! YAAS!
So my one big revelation is that Enhypen (as beautiful and seemingly otherworldly as they are) are beautiful HUMANS. I realized that last night’s concert shouldn’t be the deciding factor in how I think about their dancing. They’re actually really good on video.
Maybe their sub par concert dancing was because they’re exhausted after doing non stop 3 hour concerts for the last two years. It could’ve been an off day! So overall: 👏👏👏 on their talent. They really are a k-pop group in their own right, with their own journey, evolution, and flare. I respect that!
I have to end at the beginning. I never planned on attending any Enhyphen concert. There are two videos on tik tok that changed my mind. So these tik tok videos were my entry point into going to an Enhyphen concert. Enjoy and adieu!
