It’s been a while since I felt like I was writing something that benefited both you and me.

I’m watching this Korean drama where this girl who has a terrible life (abusive husband, terminal illness, betrayed by only best friend) somehow goes back in time.
And she gets a second chance.
Many of us wistfully imagine what life would be like if we could only go back a couple of years. We wouldn’t make the mistake, wouldn’t date the monster, would take care of our mental and physical health. It’s always a wistful sort of longing to go back in time.
Except time (the only real time) is now. So what if you adopt a “second life” mindset? Use your catastrophizing for good by imagining a horrible future, only you went back in time to now.
Now. Right now. Now is your second chance at life. If you approach life this way, then you’re sure to do your best. You’ll be more mindful of the risks you take, the people you date, and your health. You will definitely be more thankful for the now.
So just think of today as if you miraculously traveled back in time to 2/26/24. And now you can do it all over again.
What would you do?
