The year long insomniac has woken at 9:30AM and fallen asleep at 11PM?! Dear God, has she actually walked to the bookstore at 10AM? And now she’s writing in the daylight when she’d sworn no motivation the day before….
Who is this woman and what has she done with your author?!
BTS once told me that it’s never too late to reinvent yourself, for as many times as you like, and for the surprise of others and the confidence of ‘you’. So now I am sleek banged morning-person Maria, who likes to take long walks at the park, squat, and work out. I am a Maria who dresses like a borderline skank and yet hasn’t had a kiss in three years. I’m the Maria that’s on the cusp of jumping into Jesus. Yes, this is me. There’s more to it, but that’s more than you (or I) will know for my new comeback.
I’ll write the rest of this on Yoongi’s notebook because I adore feeling my own writing over his blank sheets.
It’s now 2023, January 4th (4:01 PM), and I never touched Yoongi’s notebook. It’s his not mine, as Jung Kook would often tell me. I’m smiling at those memories. Anyhow, this post carry’s with it a great lesson.
You can always reinvent yourself: forever. And on that note, Namjoon is the epitome of re-invention and a role model in going back to your roots and just becoming the “you” who you feel that you truly are.
Be you. Be me. Be us. Just Be.
