As an ARMY I used to have questions like “can you read musical notes?” And “what is the process from start to end of making a song?”
Now I have other questions.
Let me preface this by saying:
It must be hard, living in the limelight and never being able to show any side of yourself except the Persona that fans the flames of fame.
My other questions are:
1. Are you okay?
2. Is it time to walk away?
Those are two (of the many) questions that I have for every member of BTS. I can tell by their tired faces and not-so-cryptic verb-ages that they’re all kind of sad and tired. They experience Blue in various shades. And you see it in their weight loss and tired eyes. At least I do.

It is ironic that the company encourages LYS, with the exception of BTS, who has the burden of helping us love ourselves, with the exclusion of their own self-love. Self love means self acceptance and self-expression.
Jimin’s direct about it. He often talks about not being able to share their hardships out loud. And that’s a sad part of the industry that they’re in. Kim Namjoon sensed it a mile away and broke off before it consumed him. Then he came back from his darkness and gave us this:

Self expression is important, and I’m glad that Namjoon was able to show at least a few more shades of himself than before. He’s real. And raw.
RM = Real Me
I’m so happy for your release Namjoon. It’s both a musical release via Indigo and a release of emotions you’ve been holding back.
It must be hard trying to keep being famous for the sake of your job. Hard on you, and hard on the people in your life. My friend’s boyfriend said this last April, when I went to see you perform.
“It must be hard on them, always having to please people.” – Le.
I hope one day soon you can relax enough to reveal yourselves candidly, and to realize that people will love you regardless. Not everyone, but most. I think the best part of that risk is the reward that you give to yourself: self expression because of self love.
In every darkness there is light and I’m sure the army bombs light your way. It’s love for ARMY and you love your craft. Is it a type of love which brings the cost of holding up a persona that isn’t you anymore?
Why don’t we break away and show our true selves? I can’t claim it’s easy for any of us to do that: famous or not.

Thank you Jung kook for introducing me to such an athletic hottie with a brain. Back to BTS. The BTS hottie with a genius brain is Namjoon. And the fact that he’s leading the way for all the members to self express makes me smile.
It’s okay to be you, even if you’re scared that other people will hate that real you. At least you lived a life where you are honest with yourself. And not many can break that persona. It takes a huge amount of self-love.
Wouldn’t fame be all the more tangible if you expressed yourself how you wanted to? I’m not saying for you to over-share your private life. I’m just saying that taking a comfortable step back from the money-making persona might feel rewarding. Breaking away from the cliche that people associate you with might even feel thrilling.

So BTS: If you like smoking, then be an adult and make that personal choice. If you’re in ten thousand relationships? Fine (I wish that girlfriend is me lol). If you’re sad? Then be the saddest MF out there. If you’re bi or gay? Then you have blessed rest of Earth’s guys by giving them the hope to date you. It’s a self- hope that can be fun. A ‘fun kind of hope’ that is exactly like the type of fun you experience when entering a billion dollar lottery. Who ever wins those things? But we all hope for it!

By self expressing: You might make or break some hearts, but at least you are you. And being genuine is something people love and treasure.
Maybe your “bullet to overcome” is releasing whatever is behind your celebrity persona. Eat whatever you want. Take a break. Do what makes you happy. Sleep and stop feeling the pressure of being beautiful, because we love you. Because you’ll be beautiful until your 105 years old. Then you’ll be a silver fox
Be safe. Be healthy. Be happy. Be you. That’s all I want for you.
