Fa la la latte

This candle is perfect

It really is. It smells so thick that it makes me slightly dizzy with sleep. But the smell is a aromatic scent. My candle smells more like a weak cup of hot chocolate than it does a latte. I’m very pleased with the display. It’s not noticeable in the picture above, but the orange flames light up the winter trees in the warmest of ways.

In short, I love it.

I hate being cold. I shouldn’t say hate, but it feels bad when I’m cold. I think that’s the only con of winter. Otherwise, I love the way puffy snow clumps and falls around me. I enjoy watching kids and family’s sledding. I also appreciate all the beautiful lights that people hang in their homes.

And on the inside? I love warm 3 wick candles. Bath and Body Works has been my refuge for the past few years. It’s always so bright, merry, and happy inside the stores. I love exploring every scented candle and finding the perfect one. It’s always a hit or miss, because some candles don’t burn the way they smell. Regardless, it’s the ✨atmosphere of the place! And who doesn’t love the occasional free-bee lotion?

What else? STARBUCKS. That’s another refuge of mine. I love all of the holiday drinks, with their delicious themes. Peppermint hot chocolate is my favorite! They also have festive and wonderful music.

I also love being warm at home. A roaring heater and Sherpa blankets plus my warm dog makes me so happy. I love music; and the Christmas genre certainly does a lot to perk up my ears. It’s happy, and it makes me happy.

What else? Kindlemart! It’s become a past time of me and my mom to tour the cute little German holiday stands as we sip hot chocolate from the Kindlemart’s yearly cup. Some stands sell gingerbread houses, honey, different flavored pretzels. There’s also a big store of German sweets and delectables.

There’s also Thanksgiving and Black Friday: the two holidays I’m allowed to love. But for now I want to focus on other winter activities!

I want to ice skate this year. I planned on it before I had my ankle injury. I bought beautiful white ice skates with Tiffany blue trimmings. I wanted to use them at wrigley, rosemont, and downtown. I suppose it’s still possible to do so, but skating on a rehab’ed fracture is not a very good idea.

Alas. Will I be able to do it?

Moving forward, I do love watching movies! There’s some Christmas movies out right now, new and old. The latest one I watched is a Santa origin story. It was nice.

I said the C word: Christmas. What do the holidays mean to me? They’re essentially pagan and I‘m not pagan. But I do love lights, music, gifts, and family plus friends time.

Is it possible to love the ingredients and not eat the dish?

It’s good for me, because I’m a blue person that happens to thrive and vibe with cheer. Blue and Grey aren’t healthy in excess. I’d rather eat my semi-yearly Book of Cookies from Harry and David.

That’s what I’d rather do.
