The Art Gallery of my Brain

I took a coding class once, a long long time ago. Maybe it was that class that taught me the power of 0 and 1.

Our brains assign events as simply 0 (not worthy of note) and 1 (salient). This process is how we make sense of the world, and numbers is how we survive. In short: we set metrics and earn wages. Biologically: our bodies set metrics too.

What I am trying to say is that everything can be quantifiable. Time, age, blood pressure, chromosomes, planets….

So what about feelings? What about pain? Even people create a scale for that.

As Ironman once said: “I love you 1000”.

Numbers. It’s all numbers. Life is one big set of numbers. For me: it’s dosages, time, and blood levels. Those are the numbers I’m dealing with. “How much?” and “what time?” are the questions that consume my life. That, and 7 amazing men in South Korea (who also beg the question: “how much, and what time?”)

Some numbers make sense and others don’t.

I wrote this down a while ago and I can’t remember it’s significance. It therefore equals 0.

That is all. 0.

Well, and there’s Namjoon Kim.

Sir, you’re the 1.
