PUMA

BEHOLD! The Previous sponsor of PUMA: Golden Maknae, Jung Kook Jeon of BTS

I just found out that my golden maknae boyfriend has a black belt in Taekwondo. How did you manage to fit that in between working yourself to the TOP as an idol??

I was surprised that he was even rollerblading across the stage at one point. Is there anything you can’t do?!

Jungkook is so wow that someone wrote this tribute song about him that goes:

I wish I could be like him too! I really want this post to be about health. I say this as I write in a room full of chocolate and a stomach full of carbs, having not moved out of my bed since last night. Also, insomnia.

There was a point in time I used to run. I did 5Ks twice a month. Resting heart rate 45, BMI right on point. And last year I lost weight on a keto-influenced diet. Then I got lazy (or stopped producing dopamine) and the serotonin lost its appeal. Now I’m FAF. It’s cool, not.

There’s some health wins I’ve done though: I’ve been protecting my energy. And I’m keeping up with my vitamins. There’s that! I’m trying not to get caught up on Junkook’ing every little thing. Because I’ve realized that Health is a spectrum. For instance, I was heartbroken and miserable when I was at my physical pique. Now I’m fat and happy. Where’s the medium? Where’s the kpop regimen?!

I suppose that we find it when we are motivated to do so. Sleep and motivation are elusive things in my life.

For me: Motivation and sleep have ALWAYS been key.

I leave you with this self-help sheet that I’ve had on my wall for the past 7 or so years. It’s a nice reminder.

Nice tidbits, but I disagree

This sheet functions under the belief that one should take care of the body first and the mind will do itself. Ha! It’s the other way around. The body follows where the mind goes.

I repeat: the body follows where the mind goes.

Yeah it’s kind of a back and forth discussion between what influences what more: but if you ask me which health chicken laid the first egg, it was mental health. I suppose if you can master your brain then you can do anything. You too, can be golden.

So start prioritizing your mental health, get rid of stressors, learn healthy coping, take your prescriptions, and do whatever it is to raise your mental vibration. Then the body can follow. It’s hard to maintain physical prowess under depression. So—- go forth, and do something about that. (that being— whatever mental health struggle you have).

That’s about all the PUMA-non-sponsored advice I can give. The rest is up to your dopamine. And Jungkook. If all else fails, Jung Kook.
